Cransley Room 12

The property was in a nice quiet area and easy to access. It was about a 20 minute walk to town.We asked for an early check in and received conflicting informationWell equipped with tea and coffee and toiletries. Shower wasn’t great either hot or cold and hard to get rightOverall good value for money

Pot Noodles Or Takeout... Positive: The Beds were Really Comfy and the little Complimentary Boxes were Cute and Definitely a nice Touch, it's also nice to have the opportunity to sit outside in the Garden - Regardless of the Weather as there was seating on the Grass, but also under a Wooden Structure which was useful when the weather took a turn. The other Benefit was that you could literally walk ten minutes down the road from the Train Station and take a Left and you were Pretty Much at the Property. We had an issue with the Shower Leaking one evening and the Owners got back to us the very next morning with a maintenance person on standby and ready to drop in to help - unfortunately we were out at the time, but those in communication were very polite and understanding and I would presume got the issue taken care of as soon as we'd left the Property at the end of our stay. Negative: I would perhaps advise Updating a Lot of the Online Visitor Information as We and another Couple were both looking for the Kitchenette which we had both believed was Present, only to discover that upon reading Visitor Questions dated back to 2023, only 6 rooms came with a kitchenette, the rest had just Coffee Making Facilities...We had hoped to maybe find a mini fridge, or a room everyone could share to cook in, but this wasn't the case. We also discovered that the 'Hotel Opposite' which according to the Visitor Questions serves Breakfast has also been derelict for who knows how long, so Sadly that left us relying on the nearby Co-op for Sandwiches and Pot-Noodles as there was nowhere to keep Perishables in the room... (Mayhaps we can suggest a Mini-Fridge for those rooms without access to cooking appliances?) We didn't have a lot of Funding, so Take Out wasn't an option. I did have Great Trouble getting our Luggage up the stairs to Room 12 (as did those staying opposite us) because those stairs are far too narrow to safely carry a Suitcase up - I literally had to stand behind it and Hoof it up a Step at a time, and even that was a struggle... I also feared falling down the turn at the bottom of the aforementioned stairs and ended up coming down them backwards whilst holding the Handrail as there wasn't anything to grab if I came down them normally. Sadly another issue was trying to use the Bathroom as the Toilet is situated too close to the Shower and if you are of a Wide, or Tall Body, you would have to sit somewhat sideways with your Left Knee pushed up against the outer wall of the Shower - Which makes doing what is Necessary a Problem. I don't like leaving Negative Comments, but this stay really caught us out - especially when a lot of the information was either out of date, or non-existent.

Mixed impressions Positive: Good location, unfortunately road works in front of the house Negative: Not seen any staff, no room service, no little fridge in the room.v

Decent Stay at a reasonable price Positive: The location within walking distance of the city centre, the good price, and the clean and comfortable room. Negative: Lack of A/C during the summer meant sleeping under the covers on the top floor was challenging. The bathroom and shower was also small (but still good!)

Positive: Close to the shops Negative: It's a bit narrow, and shower it's not for big people
